...as many called her, was a dear of a lady. She was 93 when she passed, but her passing was only the conclusion to a life that read like a novel. We relished our opportunities to talk with Miss M about her life... her hard times, conquests, accomplishments and her family. She had seen so much and had so much to share. More than anything else, we will remember her always pleasant disposition. She had a smile for everyone.

The following is the text from a note from her family following her passing

Miss M.

September 10, 2011

At the beginning of our search for Home Care for our mom, she had Indicted she was ready to sign on with another sen/ice. But wanting to actually give mom a choice, we chose to have Monarch come and assess mom's. needs and care well. We were all very pleased with what Monarch provided, as was mom, and ultimately she decided to go with them… and we're clad she did.

After our year and a half experience with Monarch, we feel truly blessed lo have found such caring people to take care of Mom as she made her final journey through life. Monarch went above and beyond our expectations so many times. It was truly a pleasure to work with them.

We always appreciated the special attention the Owners, Office Staff and Caregivers gave to Mom, bringing her dinners, sending her flowers/cards, taking her out or just stopping by to talk and visit. They helped decorate Mom's house for the different seasons, which she truly loved! They made it possible for her to get out and visit neighbors and friends. The Caregivers were caring and professional keeping Mom safe, happy, dean, fed/hydrated, and mentally stimulated. They made sure she was surrounded by a clean and cheerful environment and  were always gracious when called upon to do extra tasks. Whenever we needed to get in touch with Monarch day/night, weekday/weekend they were always very pleasant and there to respond and coordinate any communication through to Mom's team of Caregivers.

Monarch's presence at Mom's memorial celebration meant a lot to us and served to show us that this was never just a job to them and how much they cared about Mom. It was comforting to see those who gave Morn such special care, especially over her last days, be a part of this celebration of her life. We were all so happy that Mom was able to be where she truly wanted to be, at home where she and Dad had so many happy memories, near the water, among friends and neighbors, surrounded by the things that she had collected, and loved throughout her lifetime. We consider that a blessing, as well as all those at Monarch who cared so much for her.

We can't thank Monarch enough for all they did for mom and our family, It gave us all great peace of mind knowing that Monarch was there day & night taking care of Mom and giving her the love she so richly deserved.
